“Hi Haters! How you doin? Im gettin’ paper. What are you doin?” T.J. Caz, hailing from Cincinnati (residing in Toledo since 2001), is burnin’ up the charts and setting the clubs, in Toledo, OH as well as international, on fire with his hit-single "Big Ups" featuring Shawty Lo, Cuntry (of the Swagga Boyz) produced by Hutch Daddy Dolla.
Born on Aug. 26, 1983, T.J. Caz has been in the game since the age of 13. At that age, he recorded his first song with a group named “Tha Green Team Gang,” which he still raps with till this day.
"Tha Green Team is family. Its tatted on my arm, ‘GTG’,” the 26 year old rapper said. “It ain't just rap brah. We family first, so who better to get this money with."
Growing up was rough, so listening to LL Cool J, Tupac, Jay-Z and Master P, TJ found his passion.
"I went through a lot of shit growing up [anger and family issues] so rap started as a therapy, but after watching what P and Jigga did, I recognized the hustle."
The influence and that fire for music motivated him to be signed with an independent label, On Impact Entertainment, at the age of 19 till the age of 21.
Today, he has no shame in his game and is happy that he chose the path of rappin’.
"I know a lot of rappers say 'fuck rap…fuck rap money! I'm straight wit out it.' Yeah keep sayin that brah dats mo money fa me."
Out of all the musicians, Ludacris is who T.J. Caz mostly relates to when talking about his style. The one thing that sets him different from others is the fact that he does not consider himself a gangsta rapper. He raps to get paid, not to get signed.
"My lane is somewhat the same of a Ludacris. I give the people what they like and I can still make ‘em relate to me. I'm the coolest nigga in da world brah. But don't take my kindness for a weakness doe. Church!!!”
Funny, laid-back and a hustler, he is trying to make his name as memorable as the other legendary music legends. As of right now his song is being played overseas in (I forgot the country you told me..lol). Now tell me that aint hustling.
Look out for this brotha cuz’ one day he’ll be on the television/radio airwaves promoting new videos and songs. And that’s the bottom line. “Church!!!” ~B. Jones
